What we do

Greenhouse empowers young people through sport and performing arts, helping them to overcome adversity and achieve their goals by:

  • Raising aspirations and achievements
  • Developing positive life skills such as self-discipline, teamwork and self-respect
  • Improving behaviour and attitudes
  • Developing technical skills and talent

We deliver structured sport and performing arts programmes in schools and community clubs in areas of high deprivation, reaching out to include:

  • Young people from marginalised groups
  • Young people with disabilities and special educational needs
  • Girls and young women
  • Those at risk of exclusion
  • Those not participating in sport and/or performing arts

Full-time programmes
We engage young people on full-time programmes that are delivered throughout the year, in both term time and the school holidays.

High-quality coaching
Our coaches possess a high level of technical expertise, delivering structured, organised and effective programmes.

Positive role-modelling and mentoring
Our coaches work as positive role models and mentors, engaging and developing young people throughout critical years of their life.

Competitions and performances
We provide opportunities for young people to prepare for, experience and participate in competitions and performances.

Post-16 coaching and volunteering opportunities
We support and prepare young people to become future leaders by training them as volunteer coaches and mentors.
