Basketball
Basketball increases fitness and develops discipline, helping young people improve their behaviour and get better grades at school.
Research on two of our basketball programmes has shown that 9 out of 10 students have made a remarkable improvement in academic performance, gaining at least one grade point and in many cases two in school subjects.* With a reduction in poor behaviour and lateness, teachers report that young people are gaining better control of their emotions – especially anger – with the help of Greenhouse.

The Greenhouse basketball programme offers:
- Coaching in some PE sessions to include more young people on the programme
- Extra-curricular sessions including breakfast, lunch-time and after-school clubs as well as weekend training, tournaments and events
- One-to-one sessions targeting students to improve behaviour and attitude
- One-to-one and small group sessions to develop talent
Greenhouse Giants

The Greenhouse Giants community club gives the dedicated and talented young people on our school basketball programmes the opportunity to further develop their basketball talents and character in the wider community.
The U13s and U15s are selected by their Greenhouse coaches for their effort and dedication to the school team. This team is a natural pathway for the young player to get national league competitive playing opportunities.
Greenhouse Ballers
The Greenhouse Ballers community club provides the chance for young people living in the west of London to enter into regular competitive playing opportunities in the London Central Venue League (CVL). Both girls' and boys' teams train together every weekend, playing matches across London every other week.
